Dietetic Technician
Dietetic Technicians are an integral part of healthcare and food management teams. They work independently or in partnership with registered dieticians, assisting with menu planning or educating individuals on proper nutrition.

Work Environment:
Employment is available in hospitals, clinics, nursing homes, retirement centers, home health centers, public health agencies, and research facilities.

Job Outlook:
Dietetic Technicians' should experience an average employment growth through 2012.

Licensure/Certification:
Upon successful completion of the program, the graduate will be eligible to take the CADE Registration Examination in order to become a Dietetic Technician, Registered (DTR).

Salary:
Dietetic Technicians' salary ranges from $20,000 - $37,000

Program Offerings:
The Dietetic Technology program is an Associate of Applied Science degree emphasizing medical nutrition therapy and food service management. Students acquire the knowledge of working in the field of dietetics through the integration of classroom learning and 466 hours of supervised practice.
