Health Services Manager
Health Services Managers plan, organize, coordinate, and provide leadership in a variety of health service and business office settings. They are responsible for directing other employees, coordinating work activities, monitoring financial resources, and helping to develop an effective organization.

Work Environment:
Employment is found in hospitals, physician's offices, healthcare business offices, nursing homes, and other health services facilities.

Job Outlook:
Employment is expected to grow fastest in practitioners' offices and home healthcare services.

Licensure/Certification:
None required

Salary:
Health Services Managers and Supervisors earn from $22.50 to $38.50 per hour for an average salary of $46,200 to $74,700, depending upon the organization and the individual's experience.

Program Offerings:
GateWay Community College offers a Certificate of Completion in Health Services Management that can be completed in just one to two semesters. However, if you decide to pursue the Health Services Management Program and are working full time, you may choose to spread your course work across several semesters. In addition, an Associate in Applied Science Degree in Health Services Management is also offered at GateWay if you wish to take additional classes and pursue a degree. Both programs will provide you the leadership, supervision, and management skills needed to be successful in this field.
