Physical Therapist Aide
Physical Therapy Aides are generally responsible for carrying out the non-technical duties of physical therapy, such as preparing treatment areas, ordering devices and supplies, and transporting patients working under the direction of the physical therapist. Furthermore, these workers assist physical therapists in providing services that help improve mobility, relieve pain, and prevent or limit permanent physical disabilities of patients suffering from injuries or disease.

Work Environment:
Employment is found in hospitals, nursing homes, sports rehabilitation facilities and outpatient clinics.

Job Outlook:
Physical Therapist Aide positions are expected to be among the fastest growing occupations. The Arizona job market for PT Aides is expected to increase each year. This demand will create new jobs for the next five to six years.

This program does not include a national or state certification as part of its overall objectives.
